Description
SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-15-B-0029 Invitation For Bid. On or about 10 August 2015, this office will issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Construction/Renovation of Hangar (Dock) 3, Minot AFB, North Dakota. NAICS Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Performance and payment bonds will be required. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED and open to both Large and Small Business Participation. Offerors: A tentative site visit date has been scheduled for 26 August 2015. Due to security requirements, Contractors will need to register for the site visit. To register for attendance for the site visit, Contractors should contact Tom Keel, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Telephone 701-727-6127, e-mail (Howard.T.Keel@usace.army.mil) NLT COB 17 August 2015. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information 'meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements'. The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. Accordingly, offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. Project Description: This is a Fully-Designed Project. The project renovates existing Dock 3, Bldg B868, at Minot AFB into a current and functional corrosion control facility. The project does not include a building addition to fully enclose a B-52 aircraft. Corrosion control facilities in the Hangar will be limited to spray-applying one gallon of paint in an 8 hour period. Renovation of the facility includes bringing the rest of the Hangar up to code relative to all other activities in support of the mission. The estimated magnitude of construction cost of this project is more than $10,000,000 IAW FAR 36.204.
