Description

THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL TO SUBMIT OFFERS. THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 1 DAY PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) anticipates issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for SOL IT APPLICATIONS SUPPORT SERVICES under DOL-OPS-15-R-00020 for the award of a labor hour contract for the Office of Solicitor's (SOL). Contractor is shall provide all labor, expertise, supervision, materials, supplies to furnish IT Application Systems Support Services. The project consists of (1) providing professional and technical services specified in the direct support of law office functions, support of the investigations and litigation in SOL's divisions and offices and in the various offices of SOL's client agencies on an as-needed basis, and in support of the administrative management and financial planning and execution services provided by the Division of Management and Administrative Legal Services (MALS); and to (2) provide the necessary operations and maintenance support, technical services support, user training and user support related to the upgrade and maintenance of SOL's various IT Application Systems, including those systems providing case management, time tracking and other management tracking and reporting, within the SOL Legal Technology Systems (LTS) Initiative. This includes the Matter Management System, Evidence Management Initiative, Asset Management and Reporting, bankruptcy notification database and SharePoint 2013, among others. Interested firms will have the chance to see the Scope of Work included with the solicitation posting (to be issued tomorrow) for the complete requirements of the work. The performance period for the project will be a base period of 12 months plus four, one-year options. The solicitation is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12 and 15 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541519 with a corresponding small business size standard of $25.5 million. The solicitation will be available approximately on July 22nd, 2015, with an anticipated award date of September 15, 2015. Interested parties are responsible for continuously monitoring this website to ensure that they have the most recent information about this proposed contract action. IMPORTANT: Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified above. Each offeror's SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement. All offerors are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information. This is a 100 percent small business set-aside. You must be registered in SAM as a small business (reference FAR provision 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your SAM registration).
