Description

The West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS), located at 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, TX 79720, intends to enter into a firm fixed price contract for Grease Trap Maintenance. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor will be required to provide services during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to remove and properly dispose of non-hazardous oil, grease, and sludge from grease traps located at the WTVAHCS. The Contractor shall transport and dispose of all excavated waste in accordance with all standard commercial, state, and local practices and with all current and applicable Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) requirements. Services include removal of waste and grease build-up from trap walls and all associated equipment within the traps. The entire grease traps area shall be flushed down with water and any remaining residue pumped out. The Government will furnish water necessary to complete the maintenance. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 562998 - All Other Miscellaneous Waste Management Services. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this service must provide proof that authorization from the manufacturer has been attained by notifying the Contract Specialist no later than 4:00 PM EST, July 29th, 2015. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of services that meets or exceeds the capabilities of the manufacturer. Notification shall be e-mailed or faxed to Jessica Roman, Contract Specialist, jessica.roman@va.gov, fax: 432-517-4586. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with the sole source negotiation. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
