Description

STATEMENT OF WORK Title: Preventive Maintenance and Repairs Pneumatic Tube Delivery System. 1.Background: The pneumatic tube delivery system and related system components require urgent repair and annual maintenance service. The pneumatic system serves the Emergency Room, ICU, and the Laboratory. 2.Scope of Work: Contractor is responsible for the repair and required maintenance of the pneumatic delivery system and its related tube components. Repair and maintenance services include but not limited to test runs, lubricating, tube replacements and any other items required to maintaining the pneumatic tube system. Contractor shall provide all resources including but not limited to labor, equipment, tools, materials, preventive maintenance service, and parts necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW). 3.Pneumatic System Details: -Kelly System -Three (3) Stations in the Laboratory and two (2) Substations; one (1) in the ER department and one (1) in the ICU -One diverter in the ICU 4.Objectives: a.To provide a functional pneumatic tube system uninterrupted natural gas and b.To provide repair and service in a timely manner to keep the work flow uninterrupted. 5.Place of Performance: James J. Peters VA Medical Center 130 West Kingsbridge Rd. Bronx, NY. 10468 6.Period of Performance: Base year plus four (4) option years. Base year is for twelve (12) months from the award date. 7.Other Requirements: "All contractor employees and subcontractors under this contract or order are required to complete the VA's on-line "VA Privacy and Information Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior Training" - TMS Code "10176" Contractors must provide signed certifications of completion to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) during each year of the contract. This requirement is in addition to any other training that may be required of the contractor and subcontractor(s)." The C&A requirements do not apply, and that a Security Accreditation Package is not required
