- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD announcement. The original sources sought was posted in FBO under the following solicitation number, W9124Q-15-Q-5012. The U.S. Government currently intends to award a contract for an evaluation and repair contract to repair Systems Planning FTS equipment on an SOLE SOURCE basis only and is not an intent to procure. The proposed sole source contract to System Planning for FTS repair. The statutory authority for the sole source procurement is FAR 13.106-1(b) (1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization.. This contract will consist of an evaluation and repair of System Planning Flight Termination Equipment using OEM parts only. The Government has made a determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to the W9124Q-15-Q-5012 sources sought notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation package will be issued. However, responses received by 12 AM MST Monday Aug 06, 2015 will be considered by the Government. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements must give written notice to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This information can be emailed to Todd Kelley at: todd.g.kelley.civ@mail.mil Responses will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to not compete this procurement based upon the responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
