- NASA/ARC has a requirement for a volumetric Accelerated Surface Area and Porosimetry System unit for conducting analytical grade gas (e.g. carbon dioxide) adsorption isothern on zeolite (e.g. silica gel, 5A or 13X). The system will offer provide activation temperature up to 400 degrees C, an advanced turbomolecular ASAP 2010. The ability to perform isothern on zeolite will greatly increase the air revitalization laboratory ability to characterize zeolite. NASA/ARC intends to acquire the Volumertric Accelerated Surface Area and Porosimetry System from Micromeritics, 11257 Bethany Drive, Rancho Cucamolnga, CA 91701, pursuant to FAR 13.106, on a sole source basis. NAICS is 334614, Software and Other Prerecorded Compact disc tape and Record Reproducing, Size Standard 750 employees This notice of intent is not a request for proposal. Interested parties that believe they can meet the requirements described must furnish information on their capabilities/qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on August 7, 2015. The Government will evaluate solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The contractor shall provide equipment, software, set-up and initial training and follow on support, pursuant to the following Statement of Work Statement of Work Requirements Deliver, Install, Test,..Equipment set-up within 3 weeks from award. Provide One day of onsite training for staff that will use the system, to include general use. 1 year of hardware and software runtime support for installation of equipment into base system Phone support/training during normal business hours at no cost. Contractor shall respond to trouble call within 24 hours and make repairs within 48 hours. Oral communications are not acceptable in response this notice. Delivery shall be within 3 weeks from contract award. Telephone inquiries or responses will not be accepted.
