Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FAR 6.302-1 Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source purchase order to Parks Medical Electronics, Inc., Beaverton, Oregon, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The proposed procurement is for the purchase of Doppler Probes for the Department of Veterans Affairs Louis Stokes Cleveland Medical Center, in Cleveland, Ohio. This Parks Medical Electronics, Inc.'s device is used throughout the entire medical center which supports interoperative procedures consistent with identification of blood flow during vascular surgery cases. The Doppler Probes must have two plugs that plug into existing Parks Medical Equipment Doppler Boxes (see pictures-Description 1, 2, and 3). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339112 and the size standard is 500 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 11:00am EST on August 7, 2015 Inquires will only be accepted via email to Thomas.edwards3@va.gov. No telephone requests will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
