Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only for market research. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS 334516 (size standard of 500 employees). Large size businesses are encouraged to respond as well. The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources for an Instrument for Rapid Automated Multiplex PCR Diagnostics for Pathogens necessary for the generation of automated blood bank reportable patient testing. The Instruments shall be acquired for five VISN22 sites via a cost per reported test or reagent rental agreement. VISN 22 sites to include the Greater Los Angeles, Long Beach, Loma Linda, San Diego, and Southern Nevada Healthcare Systems. See attached for draft statement of work. The intended contract is for base plus 4 option years. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business, socio-economical category, and a brief summary of how your company meets the needs of the government (no longer than one (1) page). The response must also identify whether or not the suggested platform, in its entirety including services, is on the sources FSS contract and to which FSS contract it is on. Responses to this notice shall be via e-mail response to Daniel.Ruiz@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 2:00 P.M. PST July 31, 2015. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only and a solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
