Description
Notice to Offerors: Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Governement has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs. The NAICS for this project is 238220 and the small business size standard is $15M. Work consists of the repair of the fire suppression system in building 5856 on Barksdale AFB, LA. This is a "Design-Build" project. The contractor is required to provide all labor, equipment, transportation, materials, quality control and suprevision necessary to fulfill the requirement at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, in accordance with the project statement of work. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about 24 March 2015. The Request for Proposal will close 30 days after the solicitation is posted. The Performance Period for this project is 60 calendar days for the design portion and 90 calendar days for theactual construction after receiving the Notice of Proceed. The Notice to Proceed may be issued within 30 days after award of the solicitation. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for Small business in accordance with FAR Part 19.502-2. Offerors must be a small business in order to be considered responsive to the solicitation. The Request for Proposal will be available by electronic transmission only at www.fbo.gov. Potential contractors must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award; see webpage www.sam.gov. All proposals shall be valid for 180 calendar days after the Request for Proposal closing to be considered responsive. The Contracting Officer must have access to verify the offeror's status in SAM. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 in accordance with FAR 36.204(e).
