Description: Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 2015 JUL 27 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-15-B-0030 On or about 11 AUG 2015, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the OA Intake Structure Bridge Deck Wearing Surface Replacement. The solicitation will close on or about 10 SEP 2015. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A site visit date and time will be issued with the advertisement package. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) The work includes the following items; materials and labor for the removal of the existing asphalt wearing surface, preparation of the existing bridge deck and furnishing, handling, placing, curing, and finishing a low slump dense concrete wearing surface on the Oahe Project Intake Bridge. Also after complete removal of the existing asphalt wearing surface the contractor will pause for 5 days before new wearing surface is placed to allow for a complete inspection of the bridge deck. This inspection will be done by others. There are approximately 2,710 Sq yds of 2 to 3 inch existing asphalt surface to remove and approximately 2,710 Sq yds of 2 to 3 inch low slump dense concrete to place. The estimated construction cost of this project is between$250,000 and $500,000. _____________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 150 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
