- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - The Solicitation is not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23, located at 708 South Third Street, Suite 200E Minneapolis, MN 55415, is conducting market research for Iowa City VA Health Care System (HCS) located at 601 Highway 6 West, Iowa City, IA 52246 for a contractor to provide removable prosthodontics and dental appliances for veterans receiving dental services from Iowa City VA HCS. The contractor will provide pick-up and delivery services, removable prosthodontics, dental appliances and dental supplies. At minimum, pick-up and delivery services will be done once daily every Tuesday and Thursday excluding Federal Holidays between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:30 pm CT. The all-inclusive rate will include all materials, supplies, labor, packaging, and transportation costs. Contractor will use only high quality American Dental Association (AD) certified raw materials in the fabrication of dental products purchased from ISO 9001/CE registered companies. Contractor is required to certify that all work is completed in the United States and all products are of the same consistent high quality offered to the general commercial public in the United States. All products are to be fabricated at the contractor's facility unless otherwise approved by the Iowa City VA HCS Dental Services. The contract period will be for one (1) base year and will include four (4), one (1) year option periods to be exercised at the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that commencement of performance will be October 1, 2015. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339116 applies with a size standard of 500 employees. The Government contemplates awarding a fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with economic price adjustments allowed for items containing metals/alloys resulting from the future solicitation. Market research is being conducted to determine interest, possible small business set aside, and technical capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed through Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. Interested parties should download and complete the market research questionnaire. The response end date for the market research questionnaire is August 7, 2015. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone request or written requests for the performance work statement (PWS) will be accepted.
