- NOTICE: This is a pre-solicitation notice for an upcoming acquisition of ICD-10 Medical Coding Training utilizing the procedures of FAR part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice is synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This notice is NOT a Request for Quotations (RFQ). Vendors should not submit quotations until the RFQ is posted to this website. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for the information resulting from this posting. SERVICES: The contractor will provide web-based ICD-10 Medical Coding training to all clinical staff in VISN 15 and the regional medical billing facility (CPAC). VISN 15 includes 7 facilities (2 dual-campus facilities) and 55 CBOCs served by approximately 2,000 Providers. Health care services provided by VISN 15 include a full range of outpatient and institutional acute and chronic care services including specialty and subspecialty clinics as well as surgical, preventive, restorative, and palliative services. The contractor must perform this with little or no travel. ACQUISITION: The VA intends to release this as a competitive RFQ on July 28, 2015. A single solicitation will be issued and a single award is anticipated. The procurement will be a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement will be 611430 with a size standard of $11.0 million. Any resultant contract will be effective for a Base Period of performance of one year. No options are expected at this time. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full RFQ will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). All future information regarding this acquisition including amendments will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
