Description

SECTION A - CONTRACT REQUIREMENT This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format specified in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. This announcement constitutes the only publication; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center requires the Installation and Basic IQ/OQ of three Cryogenic Storage Chambers to an existing liquid Nitrogen system. This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-83, effective July 02, 2015. The solicitation number is VA258-15-Q-0620, and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This acquisition is set-aside 100% for Small Business in accordance with FAR 19. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 238220, Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a small business size standard of $20.5 million. The period of performance will consist of one 60 days after award of contract. This combined synopsis/solicitation is not to be construed as a commitment by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract, in accordance with FAR 13.5, and subject to the provisions and clauses listed in the formal VA solicitation format as follows.
