Description
NGIS Lodging The Fleet Logistics Center, Jacksonville (FLCJ) has a SOLE SOURCE procurement for lodging in support of the PANAMAX 2015 Exercises at Naval Station Mayport, FL. This is both an operational and foreign military interaction exercise and is a top priority exercise for U. S. Southern Command (USSSOUTHCOM). The primary objective of this contract is to obtain lodging that is acceptable to the U.S. DoD security assessment and greatly reduce the security risk for traveling foreign Partner Nation military members. Due to the partnering nations participation the Navy Gateway Inn and Suites located on Naval Station Mayport will be in a safe secure location. Due to Force protection requirements and security of PN personnel on-base lodging is required. The hotel will have a modern professional system of internal and external security to include cameras strategically located to monitor the interior and exterior of the hotel. This is an Expeditionary Logistics and Life Support Services for U.S. Navy and Partner Nation forces operating ashore in Mayport, Florida for about 30 personnel. It is essential that all required services be coordinated with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and delivered and operating upon arrival of forces unless otherwise specified by COR. The SC shall work closely with the assigned COR, in the coordination and scheduling, ensuring effective completion of all services described herein. The Services Contractor (SC) shall provide all labor, material, personnel, operational and technical support to perform the statement of work for the execution of this exercise. Due to the use of the facilities, central location of exercise, availability of naval base security resources for the size of service personnel coordination for this event shall be sole source procurement. The hotel is within walking distance of food facilities, military exercise and similar events for Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command (COMUSNAVSO) and USSSOUTHCOM. This contractor will provide extensive cost-savings in logistical and manpower resources and requirements for movement of Partner Navy (PN).
