- UPDATE 30 JULY 2015: The Department has conducted a majority of the requirements gathering with the various principal offices and, once complete, will analyze all of the gathered requirements and develop them further. At this time, the Department intends to release the first of three requests for information (RFI) on 08 September 2015, with RFI responses tentatively due by October 9th 2015. At this time, it is envisioned that the first RFI will focus on the developed requirements and encourage industry to comment on them in terms of the actual language and how the requirements language aligns with current and over-the-horizon commercial service offerings. Additional topic areas are expected to be included, but have not been finalized to date. Furthermore, the Department has begun surveying potential Federal Supply Schedule vehicles and government-wide acquisition contracts that may be used as part of this planned procurement. Please be reminded that the Department has posted the artifacts associated with the Market Research Industry Day event to this Federal Business Opportunities Website posting and that the above mentioned RFIs and any additional information will be released by means of this posting.
