Place of Performance Address:Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH Postal Code:44106 Country:United States SCOPE OF WORK Background The Cleveland, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Surgical Service is looking to purchase a complete GPS Tracking System in order to track Surgical Instrumentation from the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS) to/from the main facility. Based on national ISO 9001 implementation, SPS has to increase our quality management practices, and we feel that this would be a benefit for our surgeons and our patients. Expectations for this system include the ability to locate a shipment of surgical instrumentation from the time they leave the main medical center to the CBOC/outpatient surgery center. It will also have the ability to locate surgical instrumentation that has been shipped from the CBOC/outpatient surgery center back to the main facility. By actively tracking these shipments, Sterile Processing Service will be able to minimize loss of surgical instrumentation during shipment and ensure that our clinics receive the instrumentation needed to assist our Veteran patients.
