Description
The Iowa City Veterans Administration, Iowa City, IA requires a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract with four each option years as specified below. Contractor will provide moving and storage services for the Iowa City VA Health Care System equipment and supplies. Contractor will be located within a twenty five mile radius of the main facility located at 601 Highway 6 West, Iowa City, IA, 52246, to allow quick access by Logistics personnel and for inventory control purposes. Mileage for deliveries can reach up to 300 miles round trip. Contractor will respond to requests and provide moving services within a 24-hour period from the time of the request. The average number of transfer services will most likely be 2 per month. Veterans Health Administration Directives require that the storage facility provide protection from the elements. Contractor must be able to receive drop shipments. Contractor must be able to provide 3,000 square foot of storage space at any one time for staging purposes and temporary storage. This service is to be primarily for transport of warehouse overflow from the Iowa City VA Health Care System and be temporary staging in nature. Storage space must be in a smoke-free environment and have a winter temperature range between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Contractor must be able to guarantee security of supplies and equipment. Contractor must provide a certificate of liability. DELIVERABLES Storage Storage requirements range from 1000 to 3000 square feet of space needed to temporarily stage supplies and equipment for the Iowa City VA Health Care System. Deliveries Approximately 2 deliveries and pickups to and from the Iowa City VA are required as an average based on the past requirements. Approximately 2 round trips per year to 11 off site clinics with the longest round trip distance not to exceed 300 miles and requiring 2 to 4 personnel depending on the job required. Hauling requirements would, in most cases, require a 20 to 25 foot straight truck. On rare occasions a longer trailer (i.e. 54 foot) would be required. Labor rate per hour Interested parties, please bid your labor rate per hour as it applies to a delivery/ pick up. *Invoicing would be based on storage rates per square foot, round trip mileage rates and per hour labor rates.
