Description
PRESSURE MAPPING SYSTEM Description of Technology: The required supply is a system for measuring static and dynamic pressure distributions in support of injury biomechanics research efforts. The required system is being procured to support a research program designed for measuring lower body and torso pressure during prolonged sitting at different seat angles. To meet the needs of this research program, the required system must meet the following minimum specifications. I.The required system must include at a minimum: a.At least one (1) sensor array meeting the general specifications in Section II and sensor-specific requirements listed in Section III b.At least one (1) sensor array meeting the general specifications in Section II and sensor-specific requirements listed in Section IV c.At least one (1) seat of vendor-written, off-the-shelf data acquisition software meeting specifications listed in Section V d.Accessories described in Sections VI e.At least ninety (90) days of software and technical support provided by telephone, email, and website FAQs f.At least a one (1) year warranty for all equipment and software II. Sensors - General specifications. a.Sensors will be elastic and able to stretch without tearing b.Sensors will be resistant to puncture or damage c.Sensors will be flexible and conformable to surfaces above and below sensor placement d.Sensors must be reusable e.Sensors will be no more than 0.10 inches thick f.Sensors will be able to be calibrated onsite g.Sensors will demonstrate no greater than +/- 10% error in measurements h.Sensor operating temperature will be from 50 to 104 F III.Sensors-specific requirements - Sensor array #1 a.Overall sensor pad area length and width will be no less than 22.5 inches and 28.5 inches, respectively b.Overall sensing area length and width will be no less than 18 inches and 18 inches, respectively c.Sensor must be capable of measuring pressures of up to 400 millimeters mercury (mmHg) d.Pressure sensor matrix will i.Have a maximum sensor size of.5 inches by.5 inches ii.Have no more than 0.126 in between sensors iii.Have a total number of sensors no less than 1024 Have a scan rate of no less than 40 Hz IV.Sensors-specific requirements - Sensor array #2 a.Overall sensor pad area length and width will be no less than 28.5 inches and 28.5 inches, respectively b.Overall sensing area length and width will be no less than 24 inches and 18 inches, respectively c.Sensor must be capable of measuring pressures of up to 200 mmHg d.Pressure sensor matrix will i.Have a maximum individual sensor size of 0.5 inches by 0.5 inches ii.Have no more than 0.126 in between sensors iii.Have a total number of sensors no less than 1344 iv.Have a scan rate of no less than 40 Hz V. Data acquisition software. a.Must be compatible with at least Windows 7 OS b.Acquire sensor data at a minimum of 40Hz (frames per second) c.Capture dynamic force, pressure, and contact area data d.Display real-time and recorded data as 2-D and 3-D pressure images with graphs e.Be capable of recording and playing back data as quote mark movies quote mark f.Be capable of recording a single frame or snapshot of data g.Provide the ability to view and compare multiple sensors within a test session h.Output pressure, area, and force data for a single frame, multiple frames, or graphs in ASCII format i.Save data files as AVI movies j.Allow selectable pressure display ranges and units of measure k.Include the capability to isolate and analyze specific areas l.Include Windows compatible copy and paste of pressure images or data values into other applications m.Include Software Development Kit (SDK) with software VI.Accessories a.Include all necessary equipment for onsite calibration of the sensor b.Include all necessary power supplies and AC cords needed for full pressure measurement system operation c.Include all necessary connections and equipment to connect the sensor to a computer d.Include one (1) system carrying case per sensor e.Must include user's manual that describes all components in detail including specifications, troubleshooting, setup, and system function. EVALUATION CRITERIA: LOWEST PRICE, TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE, IF NOT GOING BRAND NAME, THEN MUST PROVIDE MECS WITH QUOTE. ALL BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON THE ASFI SITE (SEE BELOW)
