- Notice of Intent for Sole Source Note: as of July 30, 2015, Classification code corrected to D - Information Technology. The Defense Health Agency, Contracting Operations Division - San Antonio, intends to award a 12-month base, plus one 12-month option, sole source contract to Digi-Trax Corporation for comprehensive maintenance on Government owned Digi-Trax Zebra BB-Z-M400E+ printers. Digi-Trax holds proprietary rights to the software loaded on each Zebra printer which include 300 dpi print head mechanisms and special (Digi-Trax exclusive) printer firmware. This firmware is loaded only by Digi-Trax and supports the printing of compliant ISBT128 with prescribed ABO, Rh fonts and Biohazard Symbols as required by FDA and AABB in the US Consensus Standards that enables a product result which meets using agency regulatory needs. Due to the use of proprietary data, modifications and enhancements are performed only by the Digi-Trax Corporation. No other vendor/reseller offers Digi-Trax comprehensive maintenance for Digi-Trax Zebra BB-Z-M400E+ printers. Considering the work provided for in the proposed contract is a continuation of the work performed by the specified entity under the preceding contract, Digi-Trax Corporation, soliciting for competition would not be reasonable. Award will be made on or about 07 August 2015. The NAICS code of this procurement is 541519 and the size standard is 500 employees. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
