Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BID - PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THIS NOTICE IS BEING ISSUED TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST FROM QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTORS who are Small Businesses, HUBZone small businesses, Woman owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, or Service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs MUST submit the following by e-mail to CFLAcquisitions@dot.gov or by telefax to 720-963-3360 (Attn: Craig Holsopple) for receipt by close of business (2 p.m. local Denver time) on August 6, 2015: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) A copy of the letter from SBA stating date of HUBZone small business certification or acceptance to the 8(a) small business program. In the case of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern, you must provide proof of eligibility (DD form 214 or a letter of adjudication from the Veterans Administration). This information must be provided in order to determine eligibility - DO NOT SEND COPIES OF YOUR CCR PROFILE; (3) Letter from bonding agent stating your firm's capability to bond for a single project of $11 million, and your firm's aggregate bonding capacity; and (4) Provide a list of road construction projects of equal or greater value to the Lake Pueblo Road and Trail Improvements project in which you performed ( as the prime contractor ) minor widening, asphalt pulverization, minor grading, drainage, aggregate base, asphalt paving, concrete paving, prefabricated pedestrian bridge construction, erosion control, signing and striping, and temporary traffic control. State whether your firm was the prime contractor or subcontractor on the project. DO NOT SEND INFORMATION ON PROJECTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE WORK. The size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc. Refer to the Code of Federal Regulations 13 CFR 121.103 for information on how the SBA determines affiliation and 13 CFR 121.108 regarding the penalties for misrepresentation of size status. PROJECT DETAILS: CO FLAP 1099(1) Lake Pueblo Road and Trail Improvements PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is located in Lake Pueblo State Park, Pueblo, Colorado. The project totals 6.41 miles roadway rehabilitation, 13 miles of trail rehabilitation, and two prefabricated bridges. The project consists of minor grading, drainage reconstruction, asphalt pavement pulverization and rehabilitation, asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, signing, striping, new guardrail, new refabricated pedestrian bridges, and concrete roadway bridge rail replacements. Type of Construction: minor widening, asphalt pulverization, minor grading, drainage, aggregate base, asphalt paving, concrete paving, prefabricated pedestrian bridge construction, erosion control, signing and striping, and temporary traffic control. This project consists of: Schedule A: Minor Widening, Pulverization and paving 3.2 miles of Juniper Road and 13 miles of pedestrian trails, bridge rail construction and pedestrian bridge construction Significant Items for Schedule A Include: 10,500 LF of silt fence; 9,100 LF of sediment logs; removal of 7,600 lnft of guardrail; 125 Sqyd of bridge deck removal; 8,500 CY of roadway excavation; 1200 cuyd of waste; 105,000 square yards of asphalt pulverization; 26,000 tons of roadway aggregate; 21,000 tons of superpave asphalt paving; 53,000 square yards of 5" thick concrete pavement; 2 prefabricated 120' steel bridges; 130 cuyd of structural concrete; 225 lnft of concrete bridge rail; 325 LF of pipe culvert placement; 4,600 lnft of concrete curb; 6,000 LF of guardrail; 10,000 sqyd of rolled erosion control product; 80,000 lnft of epoxy pavement markings; 1200 flagger hours Option X: Minor widening, subexcavation, bridge rehabilitation, pulverization and paving of 1.2 miles of Juniper Road and North Marina Road. Significant Items for Option X include: 60 sqyd of bridge deck removal; 1,800 Cuyd of roadway excavation; 4,500 tons of roadway aggregate; 20,000 sqyd of asphalt pulverization; 9,000 tons of superpave asphalt paving; 300 lnft of concrete curb; 425 lnft of guardrail; 100 lnft of concrete bridge rail; 34,000 lnft of epoxy pavement markings; 1000 flagger hours Option Y: Minor Widening, Pulverization and paving 0.65 miles of Reservoir Road Significant Items Include: 9,500 square yards of asphalt pavement pulverization; 1,400 tons of roadway aggregate; 3,500 tons of superpave asphalt paving; 13,800 lnft of epoxy pavement markings Option Z: Pulverization and paving 0.95 miles of South Marina Road and Juniper Road Significant Items Include: 9,500 square yards of asphalt pavement pulverization; 1,400 tons of roadway aggregate; 3,600 tons of superpave asphalt paving; 13,800 lnft of epoxy pavement markings It is anticipated this project will be advertised in August, 2015 with construction beginning in October 2015 and extending through June 2016. The contracting range for Schedule A and all Options is $8,000,000 to $11,000,000.
