- Request for Proposal N40085-15-R-9615; Point of Contact: Rosalyn Caple, Contract Specialist, (860) 694-3742, email: rosalyn.caple@navy.mil. Title: Maintenance and Repair of Overhead Cranes at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT. The scope of work includes developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program, including responding to service calls, for approximately 83 cranes ranging from 500 lb. capacity up to 40,000 lb. capacity. The proposed contract will be a combination: firm fixed price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for a base period of 12 months, with four (4) 12 months options. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business under NAICS 811310, Size Standard is $7,500,000. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror with the lowest priced technically acceptable proposal based on the following evaluation factors: 1) Technical Approach; 2) Corporate Experience; 3) Past Performance. Prospective contractors must register in the DOD Systems for Award Management (SAMS) Database prior to award. Bidders are notified that failure to register may render their firm ineligible for award. Specifications and drawings will not be directly provided in a paper hard copy format or CD-ROM. The address for downloading this solicitation from the internet is https://www.neco.navy.mil. All prospective bidders are encouraged to register on the above website for this procurement when specifications and drawings become available. Plan holders will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (i.e. amendments) shall be made only on the website.
