- Description
- AMENDMENT 001: THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS AND REVISE A SPECIFICATION. QUESTION 1: Relating to point 3: The specifications for calibration requirements ask for ANSI N42.17A, ANSI N323A or applicable ISO standards. Would you please clarify if both ANSI N42.17A AND ANSI N323A are requested or, if this should also be understood as an OR condition? ANSWER 1: This is an "or" condition. Both ANSI 42.17A and ANSI 323A are not requested. The calibration can meet ANSI N42.17A or ANSI N323A or an applicable ISO standard. QUESTION 2: Relating to point 5: The requirement says that each monitor shall weigh less than 10 pounds and be able to be mounted on a standard chain link fence. What does ‘be able to be mounted on a standard chain link fence mean'? Shall the offer include suitable mounting materials as e.g. a light-weight mast support? ANSWER 2: It is required that the unit can be hung on NIST'S exterior fence. The fence is a 6 foot tall chain link fence. The offer is not required to include suitable mounting materials (e.g. a light-weight mast support). The following specification is hereby revised and supercedes the original specification: From: Specification 4. The detector sensitivity (per detector) shall be greater than 10 counts per minute per microrem per hour (µR/hr). To: Specification 4: The detector sensitivity (per detector) shall be greater than 1 count per minute per microrem per hour (µR/hr). All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
