- General Information Document Type: Combine Synopsis/Solicitation Solicitation Number: W912K6-15-Q-0060 Posted Date: 17 July 2015 Original Response Date: 17 August 2015 11:59 PM Type of Set a-side: none Classification Code: 23 -- Ground Effect Vehicles, Motor Vehicles, Trailers, and Cycles NAICS Code: 336212-Truck Trailer Manufacturing 1. There are no requirements specified in the SOW for insulation. Clegg Industries would recommend insulated walls, ceilings and floors to assist in keeping the trailer temperature at a habitable temperature regardless of outside temperatures. Answer: Yes please have they insulated and AC requirement was a minimum of 13,500 BTUs 2. The SOW mentions A/C and heat unit mounted on the roof centerline but no further specification. Clegg Industries will calculate heating and cooling requirements for the trailer. However, the heat strips in these units are not normally sufficient in cold weather environments. We would recommend a supplemental heating solution, which could include baseboard electric heating, wall mounted heaters, an Espar diesel fired heater, or a propane furnace installed in the trailer. Answer: Heat source must be electric. Wall mounted heaters would suffice. No baseboard heating them usually get damaged with loading and offloading. 3. Our V-Nose model is actually 27' long, is that a problem? Answer: 27ft is not an issue 4. I don't think we can mount the spare on the tongue of the V-nose. It could be a below floor mount, or we could do an exterior mount on the V, or an interior style. Answer: Exterior mount on the V for spare tire. 5. When you ask for anodized corners, you are referring to the rear only, correct? Answer: Negative, see attached photo (Trailer Exterior 2). Diamond plate wraps all corners and bottom of trailer for better protection from damage. 6. On the view windows, would you accept 12"X22" Slider Style? Answer: Window size is acceptable. 7. On the 500 Watt Quartz lights (part of the package), are these interior curbside lights or exterior? Answer: 500 watts are interior mounted. See attached photo (Trailer Exterior 3). 8. On the dome lights, checking the description, I interpret this to be a total of (6) Dome Lights, forward, center and rear of trailer. Answer: Dome light description is correct. 9. On the rear of the trailer, did you need load lights (no switch) or did you need Some sort of LED (with a switch). Answer: We can go with LED with a switch. Just need them bright enough to see what we are doing loading and unloading. 10. flat or round roof? Answer: Flat Roof 11. aluminum roof ok? Answer: Yes 12. 24" ATP stoneguard standard on front.also required on 26' sides? Answer: Yes, we want it to wrap all the way around the trailer. 13. Air cond and heat.Is heat strip satisfactory? Answer: if it is tight against the wall then it is satisfactory 14. how many ladder racks on roof? Answer: One Ladder Rack and stands all the way across 15. 500W mounted lights ok to be recessed? Answer: Yes
