- Description
- 30th Contracting Squadron, Vandenberg AFB, CA intends to extend the Pacific Range Support Contract (PRST) per FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, for one month, effective 1 Sep 15. 30 CONS is contemplating a period of performance of no longer than 1 month (1 Sep 15 - 30 Sep15), until such time as the follow on PRST contract can be awarded. The prospective contractor will be responsible for providing professional engineering support to the Western Launch and Test Range (WLTR) with missile defense program test planning, integration and execution. The PRST serves as the lead element for all Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) related range interface and coordination efforts as well as test resources integration and interoperability and provides mission test planning and execution support; develops common processes, procedures, and standards; and assists in the development and employment of mobile/transportable range instrumentation; on-going assessments of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs, assists in the development of program plans and schedules; tracks milestones and resolves scheduling conflicts.. 30th Contracting Squadron intends to execute this action as a sole source to Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc, which is the only company capable of providing the PRST functions in a timely manner. This extension will provide for the continuation of uninterrupted services for the 30th Space Wing. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred by interested parties in preparation of information or documents related to this extension. A determination by the Government to extend these services and not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to extend these services. Posting date of 04 Aug 2015 establishes a suspense date of 18 Aug 15.
