- Reference North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 331110, Iron and Steel Mills and Ferroalloy Manufacturing. The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island intends to issue a Total Small Business Set-aside Request for Quote (RFQ) for metal materials used in the fabrication of MK79 metal pallets in accordance with (IAW) the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant - Materials for metal pallets scope of work (SOW) dated 11 June 2015. The procurement will be a firm-fixed-price contract award to the responsive and reasonable contractor with the lowest price, which meets all terms and conditions of the forthcoming contract. Shipping will be FOB destination. The end user is McAlester Army Ammunition Plant located in McAlester, OK. This requirement will be utilizing 100% Small business set-aside. The solicitation with full specification requirements will be available on or around 20August 2015. The Small Business size standard of the NAICS code is 1,000 employees or less. This RFQ is for the following materials IAW the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant - Materials for metal pallets SOW dated 11 June 2015: a) 2,795 each of 10 gage x 2.25 inch wide x 20 feet (ft.) long hot rolled steel strips, ASTM A1011/A1011M Type B. b) 176 each of.75 inch diameter x 20 ft. long cold rolled steel round, C-1018 Grade. c) 732 each of.25 inch thick x 2 inch wide x 20 ft. long hot rolled steel flat bar, A-36 Grade. d) 151 each of.25 inch thick x 3 inch wide x 20 ft. long hot rolled steel flat bar, A-36 Grade. e) 2,970 each of.25 inch thick x 4 inch wide x 20 ft. long hot rolled steel flat bar, A-36 Grade. f) 269 each of 1.5 inch x 1.5 inch x.25 inch thick x 20 ft. long hot rolled steel angle, A-36 Grade. g) 15,665 each of 2.5 inch x 2 inch x.25 inch thick x 20 ft. long hot rolled steel angle, A-36 Grade. All material must have actual mill test reports, be free of paint, and with light to no rust. All material must be covered for transportation and shipped in bundles, not to exceed 6,000 pounds each. This requirement will be an all or nothing award. The solicitation shall be issued via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ and http://www.fbo.gov. Any changes to the solicitation, including amendments, shall also be posted to the listed websites and it is the contractor's responsibility to check these sites daily for any posted updates.
