Description
Amendment to Sources Sought Synopsis for FA8617-16-C-6208. Original Sources Sought Synopsis posted on 08 June 2015. This is an amendment only for the Interim Contract Support (ICS) and Maintenance Training for the C-208B Afghan Air Training Program. See specifics in amendment. Request for Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) *** AMENDMENT *** Solicitation Number: FA8617-16-C-6208 04 Aug 2015 The purpose of this SSS Amendment is to provide industry an update to the potential requirements for the planned Afghan Trainer Program Interim Contractor Support (ICS) contract. The original SSS posted 08 June 2015 under solicitation number FA8617-16-C-6208 remains applicable. a. The PoP will not exceed eighteen (18) months and will consist of one (1) six month base, one (1) six month priced option, and FAR 52.217-8 - Option to Extend Services for up to six additional months of ICS and training in support of C-208B aircraft and ATD for the Afghan Trainer Program. b. Based on historical data and market research, in the event of base closure and aircraft transition to the Afghan Air Force, the ability to maintain aircraft launch and recovery operations is paramount to the success of the Afghan Air Force. In order to account for this contingency, the contractor shall include a priced option for the US Government to purchase ground support equipment (GSE) and tooling for launch and recovery activities only in the event of a base closure.
