Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BID - PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THIS NOTICE IS BEING ISSUED TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST FROM QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTORS who are Small Businesses, HUBZone small businesses, Woman owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, or Service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs MUST submit the following by e-mail to CFLAcquisitions@dot.gov or by telefax to 720-963-3360 (Attn: Craig Holsopple) for receipt by close of business (2 p.m. local Denver time) on August 13, 2015: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) A copy of the letter from SBA stating date of HUBZone small business certification or acceptance to the 8(a) small business program. In the case of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern, you must provide proof of eligibility (DD form 214 or a letter of adjudication from the Veterans Administration). This information must be provided in order to determine eligibility - DO NOT SEND COPIES OF YOUR CCR PROFILE; (3) Letter from bonding agent stating your firm's capability to bond for a single project of $10 million, and your firm's aggregate bonding capacity; and (4) Provide a list of road construction projects of equal or greater value to the Dripping Springs road and Baylor Canyon Road project in which you performed ( as the prime contractor ) grading, drainage reconstruction, aggregate base, super pave asphalt pavement, signing, striping and traffic control. State whether your firm was the prime contract or subcontractor on the project. DO NOT SEND INFORMATION ON PROJECTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE WORK. The size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc. Refer to the Code of Federal Regulations 13 CFR 121.103 for information on how the SBA determines affiliation and 13 CFR 121.108 regarding the penalties for misrepresentation of size status. PROJECT DETAILS: NM FLAP CR 11299(1), Dripping Springs road and Baylor Canyon Road The NM FLAP CR 11299(1), Dripping Springs Road and Baylor Canyon Road project is located in BLM Dripping Springs National Monument in Doña Ana County, New Mexico. This project totals 4.84 miles of roadway reconstruction of Baylor canyon road and Dripping Springs road providing access to Bureau of Land Management Dripping Springs National Monument area. Type of Construction: grading, drainage reconstruction, aggregate base, super pave asphalt pavement, signing, striping and traffic control. This project consists of: Schedule A : 4.84 miles of roadway reconstruction of Baylor Canyon road and Dripping Springs road. Significant Items for Schedule A Include: Contractor Quality Control: 6,800 LF of silt fence; 3,200 LF of sediment logs; 24 acres of clearing and grubbing; 67,000 CY of embankment construction; 1,950 SY of revet mattress: 12,000 tons of aggregate base; 19,500 tons aggregate surface course (Baylor Canyon road), 320 LF of 24 & 30-inch culvert, 3 cattle guards, 3,600 hours of flagging placement; 22 acres of seeding and mulching and 50,000 LF of pavement markings. Option X : 2.27 miles of asphalt paving on Dripping springs road and placing asphalt pavement for 13 low water crossings on Baylor Canyon rd. Significant Items for Option X Include: 7,300 tons of superpave asphalt paving; 45,000 SF of prime coat: 20 tons tack coat. It is anticipated this project will be advertised in October, 2015 with construction beginning in January 2016 and extending through October 2016. Estimated total cost for the Schedule A and Option X is $ 5,000,000 to $ 10,000,000.
