Description
This is PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The US Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 621111 with a size standard of $11 million. The VA will award a firm, fixed price, commercial services contract. Contract use will be limited to Minneapolis VA Health Care System only. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12 - month base year with four (4) 12 - month options to renew. Service will begin January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016 for the base year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about August 17, 2015 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The Contractor shall provide board-certified/board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with a sub-specialty in hand surgery. Services are required part-time, 8-hours per week, on-site in accordance with the specifications contained herein for beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. The scope of services required by the Orthopedic Surgeon include: staff outpatient clinic; provide inpatient attending; consultative services; train and supervise orthopedic surgery residents. The Minneapolis VAHCS is an affiliated teaching center which provides comprehensive patient primary, secondary and tertiary care. Supervision and education of residents and medical students are significant aspects and key requirements. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing.
