Description

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This document is a sources sought request for market research only to enable Fairchild to gain knowledge of the marketplace and available sources of this type of equipment. Fairchild AFB is seeking sources of security forces training aids made by connecting and stacking empty metal shipping containers (ISO containers) to simulate buildings for use as a sim munition shoot house. The training aids must be weather tight after assembly and be able to be placed on a gravel base without any additional supporting structure. The training aids must include doors that have the ability to be repeatedly breached (ram or sledgehammer), simulate a two or more story facility with internal and external stairs, movable internal panels to simulate rooms and window openings with sliding shutters. Internal doors should be standard metal fire doors. In addition the training aids must incorporate open spans to allow simulation of larger rooms than would normally be accommodated in a standard 8 ft. wide container. The containers may be one-time used but must be free of rust or only have light surface rust. Lastly the training aids should be able to support future expansion. These containers would be modified and then after modification the potential successful offeror would set up the containers on a prepared gravel training area.
