- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Earthquake Science Center, Menlo Park, CA has a requirement to purchase 6 Digital Microwave Radios: 8 GHz Government fixed service frequency band coverage of 7.9 GHz - 8.5 Ghz T/R spacing of 150, 175, 300, 360 Mhz. 1+1 hot standby, Channel bandwidths of 3.75, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 MHz. QPSK to 256 QAM digital modulation and adaptive modulation. Transmit power 27dBm or greater. Receive sensitivity -80 dBm or better. LDPC linear error correction. Ethernet radio capacity to 100 Mbit/s (full duplex). Payload 10/100/1000 Base T, 802.3, 802.1p, 802.1q, up to 9600 bytes frame size. The IDU shall provide required traffic interfaces, service interfaces, IF interfaces to the ODU and network management interfaces. Individual radio inks software configurable for frequency, capacity, traffic type, protection type and T&R spacing. Support paired and non-paired frequency assignments. Operation on Government Fixed Service 8 GHz frequency bands shall comply with relevant FCC and Federal (USA) and NTIA requirements. Radios are required to be NTIA, iRac certified. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; solicitation number G15PS00737 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in accordance with Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-83, effective 03 Aug. 2015. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, firm-fixed price type purchase order. All firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov, to be considered at award.
