REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): This is request for information (RFI)/Sources Sought (SS) and not a solicitation. The purpose of this RFI / Sources Sought (SS) is to gather data of vendor capabilities and market information pertinent for acquisition planning. The responses to this RFI may contribute to determining the method of procurement and identify Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The government requests that interested parties indicate Business Size based upon NAICS 541511, Computer program or software development, custom. SDVOSBs and VOSB's that are verified in www.Vet-Biz.gov that have the capability are strongly encouraged to submit a response. Disclaimer and Important Notes - This RFI is for informational purposes and for and for acquisition planning purposes. This is not a request for competitive quotations/proposals. Submission of any information in response to this RFI is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs that are incurred by the vendor as a result of their submission. Confidentiality - No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s). The Simulation Learning Education and Research Network anticipate the need for the following services: 1)Charge Nurse and Medical Surgery Nurse Game-Based Learning 2)Difficult Airway Algorithm and Rescue Cricothyrotomy (DAARC) Educational Game 3)Avatar Greeter - National Simulation Center VENDOR SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: If your organization has the capacity to perform these services, please respond to this RFI. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical capability of such vendor to perform this type of work. For review purposes, please limit your responses to 8 pages. The capability statement submitted should demonstrate the organization's ability, capability, and responsibility to perform the principal tasks listed above. Vendor submission should include the following: 1)Provide business name, address, type of business (Small, Large, etc.), Social Economic Group-if applicable, DUNS #, and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. 2)Demonstrate the firm's experience by providing a list of projects completed where the work involved the work identified above and was completed within the past three years, and in which your firm performed the work. Include in the list only work comparable to the size for which your firm was entirely responsible for providing the labor, facilities, equipment, and material. Additionally, for each project listed, provide the following: a brief description of the work performed, project title, dollar value of the job, location, and the customer's contact name and phone number for the work completed. 3)In addition, please respond to the following questions: a)Briefly describe the Company's primary customer base and specific Gaming products that are online with the Medical Gaming product(s) being considered Please include any links of sample demonstrations if applicable. b)Briefly describe the Company's approach with respect to the development of the gaming product e.g. storyboarding, design, development, testing events, delivery, use of resources i.e. Subject Matter Expert c)Briefly describe Company's experience and specific gaming components associated with the deployment of Serious Medical Gaming products against set Learning Objectives d)Briefly describe the Company's Gaming integration approach with different platforms and networks e)Briefly describe the Company's detail Gaming testing plan and approach f)Briefly describe the Company's experience with Game Development following Section 508 Standards g)Briefly describe the Company's experience with using other software that would be VA Network compliance (Unity, WebGL, etc.) h)Briefly describe the Company's ability to communicate/update SimLEARN staff (Google Hangout, Lync, Adobe Connect etc ¦) Responses must be submitted via email to Mark Lochbaum at Mark.Lochbaum@va.gov by 12:00 NOON Eastern Time on August 12, 2015.
