Description

This is a market survey capability assessment for the supply of a similar Vertical Machining Center. The specific item listed below is a guideline for the specification and characteristics of the desired outcome. 0001 Haas UMC-750: 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center; 30" x 20" x 20" (762 x 508 x 508 mm), with 630 x 500 mm integrated 2-axis trunnion rotary table,40 taper, 30 hp (22.4 kW) vector drive, 8100 rpm, inline direct-drive, 40+1 side mount tool changer, 1000 ipm (25.4 m/min) rapids, spindle orientation, macros, coordinate rotation & scaling, Wireless Intuitive Probing System, second home button, color remote jog handle, 1MB program memory,15" color LCD monitor, USB port, memory lock key switch, rigid tapping and 75-gallon (284 liter) flood coolant system. 0002 CC-E4: Belt Chip Remover. This belt-type chip conveyor removes chips from the machine quickly,and discharges them at barrel height. It is good for high-production machining applications, or when machining hard or abrasive materials. 0003 EPFDM: The Haas power failure detection module senses a power failure or severe drop in incoming line voltage and quickly brings all axis motion to a safe and controlled stop. The module maintains power to the electronics long enough to activate brake motors and prevent uncommanded motion that could damage parts and tooling. Vertical axes are brought to a stop with the absolute minimum motion possible. 0004 EXPANDED-MEMORY: Expanded on-board solid-state memory allows storing, running, and editing large programs directly at the machine. 0005 P-COOL:The Programmable Coolant Nozzle is a multi-position nozzle that automatically directs coolant precisely at the cutting tool. The position of the nozzle is controlled via the program, saving operator time by eliminating constant adjustments. The nozzle position may also be adjusted manually from the control pendant. 0006 VQC: Haas Visual Quick Code is a template-driven conversation l programming system that makes creating simple G-code programs nearly effort less. Select an operation on-screen, choose the template that matches what you want to do, and fill in dimensions, speeds, feeds, etc. Once all information is filled in and verified, VQC generates the correct G-code program. You can also create custom templates. 0007 PS24BT: 24 Pull Studs, BT 40 0008 IUID Tag: IUID tag plate per MIL-STD-130x The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting proposals at this time. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firm. Interested firms are required to submit the attached Business Declaration form and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable.
