Description
*SITE VISIT* Date/Time: August 11 at 10:30. Location to meet at: Dexter State Recreation Site parking lot. Directions from Portland: Follow I-5 S to OR-58. Take exit 188 from I-5 S. Follow OR-58 11 miles to your destination. The parking lot will be to the left. PPE: None required. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W9127N-15-P-0079 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-75. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561730 with a small business size standard of $7.5 Million. This requirement is a total small business set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The intent of this solicitation is to obtain a firm-fixed price service contract for tree and vegetation removal of five acres of land located on the left bank of Dexter Dam in Dexter, OR 97431. A visual of desired area for removal is included as an attachment to this solicitation. The area has been surveyed and approximately 109 trees were identified for removal of which: 1. 12 trees are around 16 quote mark -26 quote mark (mostly Douglas Fir) 2. 52 trees are around 5 quote mark -16 quote mark (mostly Douglas Fir) 3. 45 trees are under 5 quote mark. The 12 largest trees would be removed with 6' stump balls intact and 25' log sections attached and moved to the edge of the park on the landing area at the S. end of the reservoir. The 52 medium-sized trees would be moved to the lower area in log lengths up to 40' and stacked in a pile a the N. end of the work area. All stump cores from trees will be removed. The stumps and branches will be ground (tub grinder) and placed in a large pile (or distributed if preferable) in the work area. A section of small trees and brush will be removed from the SW corner of the reservoir (about 250 sq. ft). No logs or material would be sold or removed. All remaining holes after tree and vegetation removal will be filled by the vendor. Responses to this SOLICITATION MUST include the following information: 1. Firm's name, address, DUNS number, point of contact to include phone number and email address. 2. Quote: Please quote for total cost of servicing the area according to the specifications of the attached PWS. 3. Firm's capability to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity, include comparable work performed (a minimum of three (3) examples). a.
