Description

Request for Information Need: The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System has a need for a Rodent Any-Maze Video Tracking Software and is seeking sellers. ANY-maze is a video tracking software used to automate testing in multiple behavior apparatuses. ANY-maze receives and integrates information obtained from a camera and translates it into data based on previously defined variables. For example, with water maze testing, variables like time spent in quadrant X and distance traveled to the platform (and many more!) can be obtained. ANY-maze also employs multiple statistical analyses for immediate determination of significance levels. Purpose of Notice: This is a sources-sought request to identify prospective vendors capable of fulfilling the requirements as further described below: Requirements: ANY-maze Video Tracking Software is used for tracking rodent movements during water maze behavioral for a VA research project. Delivery Requirements: This software does not require the vendor to come on VA property to install. This software will not supply or house patient information. This software will not require connection to the VA Network. This Notice: This notice is not for competitive quotes but rather to identify sources capable of meeting the general contract requirements stated above. Responses should be sent to Contracting Specialist grace.barr@va.gov no later than 1600 ET, 8/13/15 and include a socioeconomic status (i.e., large business, small business, SDVOSB, etc.) and any supporting literature. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 611699 with a small business size standard of $11 million. Socioeconomic status must be verifiable in SAM (www.sam.gov) and SDVOSB or VOSB status verifiable in VetBiz (Vendor Information Pages). No solicitation document is yet available. Information received will be for the sole purpose of determining the method and manner of a competitive procurement. The determination of the method and manner based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the VAPHS Contracting Officer.
