Description
Amendment 1. Proposal due date extended. See SF-1442. THIS PROJECT WAS PREVIOUSLY PRESOLICITED UNDER W912PL-14-R-0073. Construction services for a new, single-story addition on the 2nd story of the south-east quadrant of Building 1 at the VA Medical Center, located at 3350 La Jolla Village Dr., San Diego, CA 92161. New construction is for an inpatient psychiatric unit with a maximum of 16 beds, their associated improvements and structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services. Construction is Type II-B from the California Building Code (CBC) of approximately 14,000 sf of habitable floor area and roof. The estimated cost range of this project is between $5,000,000 - $10,000,000. Note: This is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside procurement. All Offerors are advised that this project may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time prior to award. The solicitation will be available on or about 11 MARCH 2015. The procurement method will be Best Value Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. Eligible offerors will be required to provide a technical and price proposal for consideration of award. The technical proposal will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria stated in the RFP. Those offerors that are determined to be technically acceptable will then be evaluated based on the lowest price submitted. No plans or specifications, or CDs will be provided. The solicitation, amendments, and planholders list for this solicitation will be posted at www.fbo.gov. Viewing and downloading documents from www.fbo.gov will require prior registration at the System for Award Management (SAM) website at www.sam.gov. Please note that all firms wanting to access the solicitation, primes and subcontractors, must be SAM registered, have an MPIN, and either a DUNS number or CAGE code. All interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum extent practicable with Small and Disadvantaged firms, in accordance with Public Law 95-507.
