Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT for the Government to award sole source purchase to Adaptive Training Options LLC, 1830 Airport Way, Boise, ID 83705 for the purchase of course L-481 Advanced Leadership for Command and General Staff to be held at the Pacific NW Training Center, Redmond Oregon. This is a Sole Source purchase using the sole source authority in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-5: Authorized or required by statute and 10 U.S.C. 2304 c(1). This announcement constitutes the only notice and a written solicitation will not be issued. Course Description The leadership development class focuses on leadership within the context of large/complex incident management. This includes team collective tasks and functions accomplished by large Incident Management Teams (IMTs). Individual tasks include functioning as a productive member of a staff organization, being a positive contributor to staff decision making, maintaining a common operating picture, demonstrating staff member ethos, and projecting operational culture and leader's intent. Selected course materials should address: • Strengthening ethos and team culture • Developing and maintaining a common operating picture • Assuming command and propagating intent • Promoting integration and resilience of functional areas • Leading at the stakeholder, team, and section level Influencing the political, social, information, and economic elements of the operational environment Objective The intent of this training recommendation is to produce Command and General Staff members who can fulfill the responsibilities of an effective staff officer within the IMT decision process and act as an organizational leader within their own functional areas. All instructors must meet National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) standards as outlined in the Field Managers Course Guide, PMS 901-1 or the standards set by the NWCG Leadership Committee.
