Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has a requirement for re-roofing of Main Hatchery Building, Feed/Cold Storage Building, and Shop Building at the Nashua National Fish Hatchery located in Nashua (Hillsborough Co.), New Hampshire. The work under this project consists of removal and disposal of existing shingle roof systems with associated components, and replacing with new asphalt shingles, ice and water shield, aluminum drip edge, chimney fashings, and other components needed to produce weather tight roofs. In addition, the Office Building chimney needs to be re-pointed and flashed to repair leak. This contract opportunity is set aside for small business. The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000. and $100,000. The NAICS code is 238160. The small business size standard is $15.0 million. Registration is required at the System for Award Management (SAM online at www.sam.gov). Lack of registration in the SAM database will make an offeror ineligible for award. All other eligible and responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. A Request for Proposal (RFP) including technical specifications, drawings and evaluation criteria will be released through www.fbo.gov and www.fedconnect.net on or about August 10, 2015. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office. Proposals are expected to be due on or about September 10, 2015. The period of performance is sixty (60) calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated contract type will be firm fixed price. Award will be made based upon Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 15, and the terms in the solicitation. Evaluation factors will be set forth in Sections L & M of the Solicitation. Please check the solicitation for all required documentation to be submitted.
