Description
Requirement is for a data sonde – and instrument that is deployed in the sea that independently collects data and stores it for retrieval. Must have: A sonde with at least 6 sensor ports. Has at least following sensors: temperature/salinity, pressure, optical dissolved oxygen, pH, total algae including chlorophyll and blue green algae sensors in a single sensor, and turbidity. Sonde has built-in wireless communication capability so that data can be downloaded without sonde been lifted out of water. Sonde has centralized wipe operation to keep the sensors clear of any bio-fouling and increase the length of operation. Sonde and sensors are optimized for salt water operation. Sensors with microchip inside so that the calibration is stored within the sensor, not in the sonde. This provides the ability to send calibration information into the sonde when sensor is plugged into any of the universal sensor port on the sonde so that it is auto-recognized and enabled in the sonde data report. Sonde comes with the data viewing, analyzing, and reporting software. Total algae sensor for chlorophyll a and phycoerythin. Optical dissolved oxygen sensor with a range of 0 to 50 mg/L and resolution of 0.01 mg/L. pH sensor with a range of 0 to 14 units and resolution of 0.01 units. A handheld unit with wireless communication capability for interface with the sonde. to display the information collected in the sonde and to operate the sonde. A completely set of sensor calibration solutions including conductivity calibrator, pH butters and turbidity standard. A wheeled carrying case for easy field transportation.
