Description
HEMOSTASIS ANALYER Minimum Essential Characteristics The TEG MUST: The system must be more sensitive to coagulation changes than conventional methods e.g. Thromboplastin time and partial thromboplastin time. The system must offer a wide range of assays to measure including clot strength, platelet function and inhibition, as well as primary and secondary fibrinolysis, in order to provide a complete coagulation profile. Kaolin and RapidTEG must be included as they are included in the new American College of Surgeons (ACS) Trauma Guidelines. The data must be presented in seconds or minutes after the samples are injected. The system must be compatible with both citrated and non-citrated whole blood samples. The system must be able to overlap serial tracings while tests are running to allow operator to simultaneously view current and past results. The system must allow remote viewing for multiple users to access to multiple assays (both running and archived) at multiple computer stations. The running cost of the system must be less than other systems on the market which offer similar measures. All service including preventive maintenance, and all operator/clinical training must be done on-site at the institution. 5.
