Description
FAR 52.212-5 This notice is a Notice of Intent. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Primate Products, Inc. for the procurement of 3 Air Handling Units (AHU) for transmission caging. These AHU’s will connect to the existing caging system and must be specifically designed to work on these cages. This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items,” as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Submit offers on NOI-RML-C-1752272 This acquisition is a Notice of Intent (NOI). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC-2005-83-2-2 8042015, August 4, 2015. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This is not a total small business set aside. Cage Code: 07BM7 The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Rocky Mountain Laboratories, is seeking to purchase 3 Air Handling Units (AHU) for transmission caging that meet the following requirements: · Supplies airflow in up to two separate primate bio-containment cages (6 SF floor, approx. 16.5 ft^3). · Fan can be adjusted depending on the ACH required. · The unit will be controlled via a HMI display, allowing airflow changes to be made, as well as displaying the current setting. · The unit will be capable of supplying HEPA filtered air to the cages at a maximum setting of at least 30 ACH (based on two units - four cages - with cage sizes of 30" W x 29.25" D x 32.5" H). · The unit will have a light to indicate power on, and will have remote monitoring capability. · The unit will be wired to operate on 120VAC Must include shipping & warranty information. FOB Point shall be Destination; Hamilton, MT 59840. This is a Notice of Intent for solicitation to purchase 3 Air Handling Units defined herein. The government intends to award a purchase order as a result of this solicitation that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein. To facilitate the award process all quotes must include a statement regarding the terms and conditions herein as follows: “The Terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document without modification, deletion or addition.” OR “The terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document with the exception, deletion, or addition of the following:” (Quoter shall list exception(s) and rationale for the exception(s).) Submission shall be received not later than Friday, August 14, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. MST.
