Description
DOC is a federal agency dedicated to recycling and reuse to the maximum extent practical to divert re-usable solid waste from ending up in a landfill. Over time, DOC has accumulated a large quantity of new and unused toner cartridges. DOC has actively pursued internal reuse; however, the quantity on hand is greater than internal demand. Therefore, in the interest of promoting recycling and reuse to the fullest extent possible, DOC is now interested in finding prospective private entities that might be interested in purchasing these unused toner cartridges. All revenue generated will be returned to our recycling account. DOC currently has approximately 6 pallets, totaling 392 toner cartridges in inventory. Models include those manufactured by Hewlett Packard, Xerox, Brother, Canon, Xerox, and hp-compatibles. DOC has a complete inventory, available upon request that reflects the manufacturer, model number, and quantity. All interested parties are invited to submit a request for our inventory, and then if interested, a monetary proposal to purchase the entire inventory. Perspective bidders must submit a statement confirming these cartridges will be recycled or reused at least once and will not go directly to a landfill. A copy of the inventory will be made available upon email request to GoGreen@doc.gov effective at 10 a.m. eastern standard time on August 14, 2015. All monetary proposals must be received by 5 p.m. eastern standard time on August 21, 2015 via email to GoGreen@doc.gov. All proposals must provide contact information including name, address, phone number and email address. Proposals will be evaluated based on highest offer for the entire inventory and must include a written commitment to pick up the entire inventory no later than August 28, 2015 during weekday hours of 9 am to 3 pm. Only the highest bidder will be notified, unless determined to be non responsive, in which case the next highest bidder will be contacted until offer and acceptance are confirmed. Payment must be made in the form of a cashier's check or money order made payable to "Department of Commerce". Please note that the toner cartridges are located at an office building in Washington, D.C. The winning bidder will be expected to pick up the toner cartridges from 1401 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington D.C. 20230.
