- Contracting Office: US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, 201 North Third Avenue, Walla Walla WA 99362. Subject: Sources Sought for the Manufacturing and Delivery of two Well Pumps for Ice Harbor Lock and Dam located at 2763 Monument Dr., Burbank, WA 99323. Point of Contact: Ruth Johnson, Purchasing Agent, 509-527-7222, ruth.a.johnson@usace.army.mil The NAICS code for this requirement is 333911 Pump and Pumping Equipment Manufacturing with a size category of 500 employees. Description of the Requirement: Contractor shall manufacture and deliver NEW Well Pumps as described below. SCOPE: Contractor shall furnish and deliver (2) new well pumps to Ice Harbor Dam. Government personnel will remove the existing pump and install/start-up the new well pumps. Two sets of technical documentation, including pump performance curves, NPSHR, component specifications and sales drawings shall be submitted to the technical point of contact at site (through Contracting Office), for technical evaluation, prior to contract award. Upon product delivery, the contractor shall also submit three sets of O & M manuals and a set of shop drawings. The new well pumps shall be covered under a one year warranty for material and workmanship. PUMP SPECIFICATIONS: Well Pump #1: Well Pump #1 shall be a turbine type pump capable of delivering 254 GPM @ 204 Ft. when attached to a 3600 RPM with 17.5 BHP. Well Pump #1 shall be supplied to mount to the Governments existing column flange bolted to existing discharge head (see attached drawing - 1/91X6090). Connection to be 4 quote mark NPT between column flange and top pipe. Per drawing detail, bottom suction of pump shell be located ~73'3 quote mark from bottom of discharge head. Pump shall include 10' of suction pipe with 304 S.S. threaded nipple cone strainer attached below. Line shaft shall be dimensioned per supplied drawing. The drive shaft shall be 273/4 quote mark in length with 5 quote mark of left hand 12 TPI threads and a quote mark by 6 quote mark in length key way on the drive end. Top line shaft shall be 416 S.S.. Other line shafts to be C1045 steel with 304 S.S. bearing sleeves. Water column to be 4 quote mark NPT threaded joint carbon steel pipe with rubber line shaft bushings at each joint. The bowl assemblies shall be ductile iron bowls epoxy lined using 201 S.S. enclosed impellers with S.S. collets (drawing shows bronze impellers). The impeller shaft shall be 416 S.S. shaft with bronze 836 bearings. The pump bowl shall be equipped with replaceable wear rings for future maintenance purposes. Well Pump #2: Well Pump #2 shall be a turbine type pump capable of delivering 175 GPM @ 250 Ft. when attached to a 3600 RPM with 14.9 BHP. Well Pump #2 shall be supplied to mount to the Governments existing column flange bolted to existing discharge head (see attached drawing - 1/91X6092). Connection to be 4 quote mark NPT between column flange and top pipe. Per drawing detail, bottom suction of pump shell be located ~67 quote mark 2 quote mark from bottom of discharge head. Pump shall include 10' of suction pipe with 304 S.S. threaded nipple cone strainer attached below. Line shaft shall be dimensioned per supplied drawing. The drive shaft shall be 273/4 quote mark in length with 5 quote mark of left hand 12 TPI threads and a quote mark by 6 quote mark in length key way on the drive end. SCHEDULE: The pump shall be delivered no later than 90 days after the receipt of the contract award. Contractor shall make prior arrangements with the Government Personnel at site to deliver and unload the equipment. This is not a solicitation. This information is for planning purposes only.
