Description
DETAILED DESCRIPTION Remove and properly dispose of 1,000sf of glued carpet and 350lf of 4 vinyl wall base. Clean properly and prepare concrete floor to except new carpet tile. Contractor will be responsible to move or lift 11 modular cubical desks, 9 tall meatal filing cabinets, and 3 heavy safes that will stay in this room that will have to be lifted or moved out of the way for carpet replacement to take place. No permanent or complicated electrical connections are present. Install 1,000sf of new 24 x 24 , 32oz. to 36oz. tufted weight, high quality commercial grade Dyed Nylon carpet tile with a density of 7000 or greater for high traffic areas adhered directly to the concrete floor. Install 350lf of new 4 x 1/8 vinyl wall base. Secure new carpet and wall base with environmentally safe adhesive products. Customer indicates that a Blue color carpet with light blue colored wall base will be acceptable. Install new vinyl transition strips at hallway door, conference room door, and mechanical room door. Replace all deposed furniture to the correct place. Work location is in a secured area of building 460. Hauling distance for refuse and new material will be over 100 , no stairs are present. Customer has requested that carpet replacement take place after working hours, 1700-0600, or on the weekend to minimize work disruption. Contractor will be required to be escorted at all times when inside the building. The customer is required to supply the escort. Scheduling is very important on this project to ensure escort personnel are available and that work proceeds at an acceptable pace.
