Description
The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has a requirement for the installation/replacement of a fully automatic, microcomputer-controlled washer/disinfector with three chemical additive pumps, and drain discharge cool down. The unit must offer pre-programmed cycles that provide recommended treatment parameters such as pre-washing, cleaning, rinsing, thermal disinfection, lubrication, and drying, optional guiderails for single door upper load cart, optional lower level injection cart with several injectors, and optional upper level injection cart with several injectors. This is a Small Business SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability of potential small businesses (e.g., 8(a), Veteran-owned Small Business, Service-disabled Veteran-owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, and Woman-owned Small Business) to provide a fully automatic, microcomputer-controlled washer/disinfector with three chemical additive pumps, and drain discharge cool down. The issuance of a purchase order is anticipated. This is not a request for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations and does not commit the Government to any contractual agreement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339112. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR Part 13) in conjunction with FAR Part 12 Commercial Item Acquisition of Commercial Items. There is no solicitation package available. Interested organizations that believe they possess the capabilities necessary to undertake this project should electronically submit (email) capability statements tailored to be responsive to the requirement described above. Capability statements shall be in PDF format. The contents of the capability statement shall be limited to fifteen (15), 8.5x11 size pages with no less than 11 font Arial characters, no less than one inch margins and no less than single spaced. Capability statements exceeding the page limitation will not be considered. Capability statements should be submitted to amber.harris@nih.gov no later than Friday, August 21, 2015, 1:00 P.M., EST. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether sufficient small businesses possess the experience, expertise, and qualifications to ensure competition under a set-aside acquisition. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement as a set-aside based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive an award, contractor must be registered and have valid certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) [formerly CCR]. Award will not be made to any contractor that is not registered in SAM. In order to register in SAM and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number. A Dun & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dun & Bradstreet on-line at https://www.dnb.com/product/eupdate/requestOptions.html. The government now encourages all contractors to submit their Certification and Representation (ORCA) thru the on-line System for Award Management (SAM). The SAM is the single source for vendor data for the federal government. Contractors should go on-line at www.sam.gov.
