Description

Sole Source J&A Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contracting Department, Marine Corps Installations East, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to McCord Communications Services, Inc., 1508 Noble St, Anniston AL 36201 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. This requirement is for an upgrade to an existing Government owned Whelen mass notification and emergency shut down system that works in tandem with three existing Whelen systems operated by radio base stations at one location aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The required delivery date is 30 September 2015. Interested firms may submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement. Responses must be received at the Contracting Office no later than 3:00 PM EDST, 21 August 2015, via facsimile or email.
