Description
1.Project Location: Kismaayo University Airifield, Somalia. 2.Background: The work under this statement of work (SOW) the Vendor shall: 1.Fabricate and Install 2 Entry Gates, Figure 1- (it will be provided in the solicitation) 3.Government Furnished Materials: 3.1.None 4.Site Information: 4.1.Work under this SOW shall be accomplished contiguous to the Kismaayo University Airfield, Somalia. 4.2.The Contractor shall secure all materials, equipment, and necessary tools to perform the work described herein, except for government material specified above. 5.Requirements: 5.1Steel Gates: 5.1.1.Contractor shall fabricate and install two (2) steel gates, 2.44m tall x 4.57m wide single gate in Figure 2. The steel gate shall have a welded steel frame with 100mm C-Frame support, 70mm metal tubing frame support, welded with checkered metal sheets. 5.1.2.Posts. The two posts shall be 100mm x 100mm with two C-Frame welded together with 50mm x 50mm angle bar and 12mm rebar as support. 5.1.3.Concrete foundations for each post shall be 1m x 1m x 1m with a #4 rebar cage 80mm on center in each direction, locate within 30mm of the exterior dimensions. 5.1.3.1.Concrete Materials: Sand. Contractor shall provide clean concrete sand (course particles), not beach sand. Material shall be well graded, classified primarily as sand, screened so that it contains no plant material, debris or soil. Gravel. Material shall be crushed rock with multiple fractured faces, free of all plant and soil materials. Size shall range between 1.0 cm and 3.0 cm in diameter. Cement. Portland cement. Water. Free of soil and plant material. 5.1.4.Paint. The gate shall be painted with black enamel and corrosion resistant metal primer. 5.1.5.Hinges. Each door shall have five (5) heavy duty iron hinges. Paint. The gate shall be painted with black enamel and corrosion resistant metal primer. 5.1.6.Hinges. Each door shall have five (5) heavy duty iron hinges. Figure 2 (it will be provided in the solicitation) 5.2Materials 5.2.1.All materials used for the project shall be new and must comply with either UL, CSA, MET,CE, listed or equivalent local standards. 5.3Safety Standards 5.3.1.All design and installation done by Contractor shall meet or exceed the latest NEC, IEEE, NRS, or equivalent local safety standard. 5.4Mobilization 5.4.1.The Contractor shall not mobilize equipment, procure materials, or disturb the project site in any way that shall incur expense until written Notice to Proceed (NTP) is given by the customer. 6Submittals: 6.1None 7Other Deliverables/Performance Required: 7.1Desired period of performance for this work is a maximum of 30 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). 7.2The Contractor shall coordinate with the government representative to establish access to area and set working hours. 7.3The contractor shall also coordinate with other contractor(s) or vendors on site via the government's representative to ensure timely delivery and quality of finished product. 7.4The Contractor shall be solely responsible for food, water, and medical requirements of any personnel employed in the execution of this contract. 7.5The Contractor shall provide bathroom facilities for its employees working on the site. 7.6The Contractor shall be responsible to properly dispose of all debris generated by this contract. 7.7The Contractor shall be liable for any damage caused to public or private property as a result of negligent acts by the contractor, subcontractor, employee, agent, or representative of the contractor. 7.8The Contractor shall submit a weekly status report to customer no later than Saturday morning each week until the contract is complete. At a minimum, a weekly report should include: 7.8.1.Contract number. 7.8.2.Name of project manager and contact information. 7.8.3.Overall percentage of work complete (Planned and Actual). 7.8.4.Estimated completion date (Planned and Actual). 7.8.5.Key tasks accomplished during the past week. 7.8.6.Work expected to be accomplished during the upcoming week. 7.8.7.Significant Issues/Events. 8Superintendence: 8.1On site project supervisor shall be provided by the contractor and shall be on site when all work is being conducted. The Contractor shall also provide a letter stating the on-site supervisor has authority to bind the contractor. 9Warranty: 9.1The Contractor shall ensure all work is completed without flaws for no less than three hundred sixty-five (365) days. The 365 day quote mark Warranty Period quote mark shall not begin until the day of the Government's final acceptance. During this warranty period the Contractor shall replace or repair any faulty items or workmanship not attributed to fair wear and tear to include latent defects. If the Contractor fails to respond when notified of a required repair, the on-site representative reserves the right to hire another Contractor to perform the work with the price of the repairs to be charged against any remaining contract payments. In the event that all payments have been made the contractor understands that failure to correct any warranty or deficient work shall restrict his being hired for any future work on this compound. 10Payments Schedule.
