- MODIFICATION TO PRESOLICTATION NOTICE - VA262-15-R-1043 POSTED ON 7-30-2015. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The purpose of this notice is to announce that the Department of Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS), Los Angeles, CA, has a requirement to provide Bridge Housing to assist in providing community-supportive services for eligible Veterans. The resulting contract will be effective for one (1) base year and four (4) One-year option periods. A solicitation shall be issued on or about Aug 18, 2015 and a site visit for potential offerors will be conducted on or about September 2, 2015. All proposals shall be due no later than September 11, 2015 in accordance with the impending RFP. The goal of this contract is to provide a secure, appropriately monitored, temporary placement for thirty-five (35) Veterans needing Bridge Housing with after-hours and weekend coverage for the Welcome Center located on the ground floor of GLA West Los Angeles (WLA) Campus Bldg. 257. Required services will include: "Bridge housing services "Extended and weekend coverage for the Welcome Center (CRRC) "Evening triage "Administering social and skill building groups "Connecting Veterans to housing, legal and healthcare services The following staff is required for this contract: Program Manager: At a minimum, there must be a (1) full-time administrative staff member or his/her staff designee on duty or on-call available for emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Direct Care/Paraprofessional Staff: Staff members and monitoring staff on duty must be awake at all times with a current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate and current Basic Life Support. One full-time, Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN): shall be required to monitor and provide nursing duties for Veterans who are housed under this contract. Facilities: Bridge Housing Facilities are located on the campus of the VAGLAHS which is necessary to ensure that Veterans are able to attend appointments scheduled in various VAGLAHS clinics and return to Bridge Housing in Bldg. 257 with minimal barriers. All interested parties must respond to that solicitation. A response to this notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
