INTRODUCTION This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), HubZone and other Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number (h) Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned small Business, Veteran-owned small business, 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business, Small disadvantaged business, or Small Business HUBZone business. (i) General Schedule Administration (GSA) Contract Number, and (j) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. INSTRUCTIONS TO VENDORS: This is a Sources Sought purely for purposes of market research. If you feel you can meet this requirement, please post a capability statement demonstrating your qualifications by 1:00 p.m. EST, 21 August 2015. BACKGROUND: The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Durham, NC currently has the need for a contractor to establish a chemical water treatment program and provide chemical treatment and testing of various systems to include Boiler water systems, Steamline and Condensate systems, Closed Hot and Chilled water systems, Cooling towers and Air handling units. In accordance with the specifications described below. The contractor shall, upon successful award of the contract, provide chemical treatment and testing of the various systems to include supplying all labor, equipment, parts, material and expertise to develop a chemical water treatment program. General Information Company shall be recognized in the water treatment field and provide documented evidence of company's history, personnel and facility capabilities with their proposal. Company's laboratory shall be ISO 9001 certified and equipped to conduct full spectrum analysis of all samples presented associated with this contract. Samples may be from utility plant equipment or air handling units. Company shall have a qualified field representative assigned for performance of the contract.
