- The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Division is conducting market research for potential sources for new a new gigastor network device which will allow NNSY to DVR all packets entering and leaving its network, to view any network-related problems at a later date as if they were happening in real time. A brief description is as follows: one (1) gigastor network packet capture device is required (P/N: GIGASTOR-EX-288T) to allow NNSY to view network traffic immediately without having to transfer that traffic to a centralized location before review. The packet capture device should not drop any packets and should support the customization of rules and filters. Encryption for all data at rest is required and end-to-end encryption when data is transit. It is important that as our network evolves we will have the ability to archive logs from packet capture devices with 1G, 10G and 40G interfaces. Software used is observer expert console V17. This Notice constitutes a Request for Information only. This is not a Request for Proposal and in no way binds the Government to any contractual obligations as a result of any responses to this request, nor does it restrict the Government's acquisition approach. Vendors are urged to study the above requirements carefully before responding to this Notice. Interested vendors with the proper qualifications may respond to Christopher Johns at christopher.johns@dla.mil. Please make sure that the subject line on any email states "Sources Sought - Gigastor Network Device." Emails without subject indicators will not be read because of security issues. At a minimum, vendors shall provide the following information: Company name and address, CAGE code, and point of contact including telephone number and email address.
