Description

This is a pre-solicitation synopsis for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Proposals are being requested to provide trash recycling service to Asheville VA Medical Center, 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville NC 28805. A written solicitation will be issued on or about September 3, 2015. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Submit only written proposals for RFQ VA246-15-Q-0083. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d) and in accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Health Care and Information Technology Act of 2006, this procurement is a competitive total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 562111 with a small business size standard of 38.5 million dollars. NOTE: The Government reserves the right to award without discussions, vendors shall submit the most favorable terms. Small businesses, especially service-disabled veteran owned small businesses and veteran owned are encouraged to contract their nearest Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) if assistance is needed in preparing their quote. The web site address for the location of the nearest PTAC is https://www.sba.gov/tools/local-assistance/ptac. The offeror is responsible to monitor and download any amendments pertaining to this solicitation from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management and in accordance with FAR 2.101, Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective contractors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and in VetBiz databases under the applicable NAICS. Firms may obtain SAM information at http://www.sam.gov and Vet Biz information at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov.
